Behind the Pen Name

She writes in the dark, where it's honest.

C.J. Noir has always been a lover of pen meeting paper. From an early age, she wrote poems and songs, using her imagination to create worlds where everyday people live, desire, and evolve.

Her writing explores the layers of womanhood, intimacy, and self-discovery, creating space for women to feel, to want, and to become without apology. She writes with intention, giving voice to the quiet thoughts, hidden desires, and bold choices women carry.

Ombré Desires is her debut novel, marking the beginning of stories that invite readers to experience desire, vulnerability, and truth in a deeply personal way.

What Inspires Noir

The rooms where truth lives

Inspiration arrives the way the best lovers do — uninvited, late, and certain of themselves.

Late Hours

The honest part of the night — somewhere between 11 p.m. and the second glass of wine.

Jazz & Smoke

Vinyl spinning low. Ella, Sade, Erykah. The breath between the notes.

Black Sensuality

The way grown women carry themselves when they finally stop performing.

The Confession

Letters never sent. Voice notes never delivered. The unsaid, made permanent.

The World of Ombré Desires

Cities of amber light and quiet appetites

Atlanta rooftops. Miami nights. Washington after dark. Velvet lounges humming with jazz, ocean-view escapes, candlelit suites, rain-soaked city lights — and women who answer to no one but the version of themselves they have finally agreed to meet.

In Noir's debut, every room is a confession. Every silence is a sentence. Every man who walks in is being asked the same question: can you hold the heat without trying to put it out?

"I write for the woman who was told she was too much — and decided that was finally the right amount."
